NASA Commentator Lori Meggs talks with Gail Perusek of NASA’s Exercise Countermeasures Lab at the Glenn Research Center about the exercises that keep International Space Station crew members healthy during extended missions in weightlessness and how the scientists design the hardware for use on orbit. Resistance and aerobic exercises are vital to keeping the crew members healthy in an environment where they don’t even have to work against the pull of gravity in their day to day lives.
