You’ve probably seen the ads for the weight-loss app Noom on your social media pages, promising to help you “stop dieting” and achieve “life-long results.” As with most subscription weight-loss apps, you’re probably wondering how much Noom costs per month, whether there’s a free trial you can cash in on, and, ultimately if the app is really worth it to download.
Noom offers a robust array of services, including a food log, calorie tracker, and activity tracker to help you stay within a daily calorie budget and encourage you to exercise. But it also includes help from a one-on-one coach, an interactive group of other Noomers on their weight-loss journeys (similar to a private Facebook Group), and daily articles based on scientific research to help you change your habits and achieve weight-loss success.
Noom was created with the help of registered dietitians, and it works: I myself did Noom for several months and ended up losing 15 pounds on the app. I personally found it incredibly easy to use and didn’t change much about my lifestyle: I still went out and socialized with friends, enjoyed my Aperol spritzes, and ate meals out. I was just more mindful of my daily portions and overall calorie count.
Now, about the pricing. Noom’s services don’t come for free; in fact, the app requires a pretty decent investment. If you’re interested in signing up for Noom, check out the prices below.
Noom Trial
As of Dec. 8, 2021, Noom offers a two-week free trial (an email offer that may be sent to you when you start the sign-up process) and a seven-day trial period in a range of prices. For the week-long trial, you can choose to pay:
- $0.50
- $3
- $10
- $18.37
On the site, the brand explained that the cheapest option for $0.50 is available due to the “global health crisis.” The most expensive $18.37 option helps to support the “choose your trial price” program.
You can sign up for the trial by heading to Noom’s website and filling out the app’s questionnaire, which is designed to build an effective plan for your health goals. At the end of the questionnaire, you’ll be given an option to choose your trial price before being prompted to fill out your credit card information.
After the trial is over, you’ll be automatically charged for a two-month plan (pricing below), so make sure to cancel during the trial if you don’t want to continue with Noom.
