A big mistake I use to make is eat a lot of “unhealthy” food. I say “unhealthy” because there isn’t really a bad or good food but rather a good or bad diet. I define unhealthy food as food that does not contribute to my immediate goal. For example, eating very oily and high fat food periworkout (around training) isn’t the greatest idea when the goal is to have an optimal training session. However eating very oily and high fat food may be an optimal plan for someone looking to add some size and weight.

Do not fear the weight gain that comes from carbohydrate because it is MOST LIKLEY water weight gain and water weight fluctuations on the daily. If you are consuming a hyper caloric diet THEN you should maybe consider where the extra weight is coming from… (food content in the gastrointestinal tract, water, glycogen, lean muscle mass AND FAT)
